Great quality equipment and ingredients are a prerequisite for great quality drinks. Our curated professional mixology bartender kit helps to provide a strong platform to execute delicious libations and a jump off point for creative experimentation with different drink flavour combinations.
The highlights of our mixologist kit includes:
A “free pour” refers to the style of pouring spirits or ingredients directly into a glass (mixing or otherwise). When free pouring it is difficult to achieve consistency for three reasons:
To help ensure drinks are made consistently tasty these need to be measured by volume. Measuring also allows you to more efficiently create new recipes or improve on existing ones.
The tool used often in cooking to properly measure ingredients would be measuring spoons or cups, and the cocktail equivalent tool is a measured jigger. A measured jigger is a mission critical tool for a cocktail starter set.
We selected the Barfly M37005 as our jigger of choice to help make the best bartender kit because of these benefits:

We selected a Japanese-style mixing glass as a preferred choice to help make the best cocktail set because of these benefits:
Glass is a great insulator allowing it to retain its cold temperature well, however because of this attribute it takes a long time to get cold. For this reason you must always pre-chill your mixing glasses in the freezer or with ice and water before use.

The julep strainer was originally crafted in the mid 1800s to hold back the crushed ice while enjoying a classic mint julep cocktail in a Julep tin cup.
We selected the julep strainer as the preferred choice of strainer for our curated stirred cocktail tool set because it fits nicely in a mixing glass, holding back the ice as its tiny holes allow the liquid to pass through evenly and quickly to help avoid air bubbles to maintain that silky texture.

To maintain a silky smooth mouth feel a shaken cocktail requires a two stage straining process to eliminate small chips of ice, and any other tiny particles from ingredients such as muddled fruit and herbs. We include a stainless steel fine mesh strainer to eliminate these smaller particles.
Another benefit of the fine mesh strainer is that it helps to aerate the head of the cocktail more when used in combination with the hawthorne strainer.

What is food without spices? Bitters are a bartenders spice rack. In addition to their own flavours, they reveal and bind unexpected flavours from other ingredients in a cocktail.
Bitters can also impact the drinks aroma by using on top of a sour type cocktail or directly onto a garnish such as citrus or mint.
Angostura bitters are considered a binding bitter, which acts to connect disparate ingredients.

The amount of ice that melts in a length of time is proportional to how much heat is transferred into the ice. The heat transferred into the ice is directly proportional to the surface area exposed to the environment. A larger ice cube has less surface area proportionally to its volume than a smaller cube, so therefore it melts much more slowly.
Due to the aforementioned we offer a large cocktail cube ice tray for our set to help make good quality ice for a home cocktail bar cart.
A silicone large cube tray was selected as the preferred choice for our set for these benefits:
Cold water has more trapped gasses than hot water, so to help improve the clarity of and density of your ice we recommend using hot water to fill the tray. Ice with lots of air bubbles will break down more rapidly while making or enjoying a drink which may lead to over dilution of the drink flavours.
We also recommend avoiding stacking ice cube trays on top of each other while in the freezer. The trays in the middle produce cloudy ice because they freeze almost equally from all sides trapping the most impurities and air bubbles from gases.
