Hennessy VSOP:Â This is one of the largest and most recognized Cognac producers globally. Their VSOP embodies a harmonious blend of various eaux-de-vie, aged for a minimum of four years in French oak barrels.Â
Rémy Martin VSOP: This producer only uses grapes from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne areas. These are the best regions for making Cognac.Â

How Is Cognac Made?
Cognac is made from specific grape varieties, primarily Ugni Blanc (About 98% of all production). Harvested by hand, these grapes are then pressed and fermented into a low-alcohol wine known as ‘wine eau-de-vie. This is then distilled twice and later aged in oak barrels from Limousin or Troncais. Note that cognac must be aged for at least two years. Some of the finest cognacs in the world have been aged much longer – as long as 50 years!
