|The Tools of the Trade||We will help you and your guests understand the science of how the proper equipment will help you improve the quality of your drinks. We provide an overview of the most important drink making tools, how to use them properly, and what attributes to look for in good quality equipment for your own use.|
|Drink Ingredients||We will help you and your guests understand how various ingredients work together to create a tasty and well balanced drink including: fruits, vegetables, bitters, syrups, herbs, spices, soda, fruit juices, eggs, base spirits, modifiers, and ice. We cover: how these drink ingredients are made, how to select and prepare great quality ingredients, and store your ingredients properly.|
|Building a Drink||We will help you and your guests learn the fundamental techniques to prepare a great quality shaken and stirred drink. We review core drink preparation concepts and provide hands-on experience with: measuring drink ingredients, glass rinsing, muddling, layering, zesting, garnishing, smoking, and straining. Yes we provide the liquor for your mixology class.
For most mixology classes a liquor permit is not required because the class is usually an invite only event, and it’s held in a private place with no liquor sales. If a liquor permit is required, we will provide guidance on how to secure it. Below is some more information on liquor permits from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
