Dark ‘N Stormy

Description

A Dark and Stormy (dubbed Dark ‘N Stormy by Goslings) can legally only be made with Gosling’s Black Seal rum.

This drink offers a rich addition of flavours through the use of premium Fever-Tree ginger beer which is made from a blend of three gingers from Nigeria, Cochin and the Ivory Coast. From Cochin in India, the ginger lends a warm and spicy flavour. From the Ivory Coast, you get a fresh green ginger that has an incredible lemongrass freshness. Finally, the Nigerian ginger brings a deep, intense flavour to the drink.

Goslings Bermuda Black Seal Rum

This rum is made from a 150-year-old Gosling family recipe which is aged in charred American oak casks. During World War 2, bottles were in short supply, so Goslings bottled their rum in discarded champagne bottles. The bottles were resealed with black wax and the locals began asking the Goslings for the “black seal rum”, and the brand was born. The logo of a barrel-juggling black seal was added to the label many years later.

Description

Five generations of the Pellas family have made rum at the San Antonio Sugar Mill, in Chichigalpa, Nicaragua. The original distillery was built in 1890, and still uses molasses extracted from the firm’s own cane fields.

Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
